Aussie Travel Cover policies are underwritten by Allianz Australia Insurance Limited, and in the event of an emergency travellers can access assistance from Allianz Global Assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Plan selection

A total of seven travel plans are available through Aussie Travel Cover – Plan A International Travel, Plan B Annual Multi-Journey, Plan D Budget, Plan E Non-Residents, Plans C and F Domestic Cover, and Plan G Residents Returning.

Plan A is split into Plan A Super Plus (covering America, Africa and Worldwide), Plan A Super (covering Europe/UK, Egypt, Japan and the Middle East), Plan A Standard (covering Asia) and Plan A Economy (covering New Zealand, the South West Pacific and Indonesia).

Additional options

Additional cover can be purchased for specified items of luggage and personal effects up to a total value of $5,000 under Plans A, B, C and G by paying an additional premium (this excludes jewellery, bicycles and watercraft other than surfboards). Receipts or valuations are required at the time of making a claim.

For travellers under the age of 81, there is an excess of $100 for any one event on Aussie Travel Cover policies. This excess can be removed on Plans A, B, C, D and E for a loading amount of $25.
